This group was set up to discuss the possibility of running a Local GovCamp in the South West (Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Somerset, Avon and beyond). Exeter has already been suggested a possible location of the event. Over to you all, good idea? bad idea? suggestions?
We are out on a geographical limb here in #NDevon. I can get to a couple of events a year, but travel is resource consuming.
I fully support holding a GovCamp in Exeter. It’s probably the most accessible place in the SW (which starts at Bristol, BTW!). Great motorway links; on a main X-country rail link and fast trains to Paddington; best little airport in the UK.
@carlhagggerty had a great idea for a Devonwide reinvention of localgov. Think there is scope to wrap this into a Hyperlocal event.
Happy to lend whatever support I can muster from the surfing beaches of #NDevon.
