why don’t we do something together – on localims, big society, the web etc – focus it on practicial things you can do for little or no money and where people are using the web to make adifference. i quite like this DIY gritting in Manea http://littlemanea.wordpress.com/2010/12/18/grit-spreading-thank-you/

mmmmm leather
i was brought up near northampton which also had a leather legacy. my grandfather ran a leather factory making hand grained morocco for bible coverings etc
so will drop in.

linked data – can i suggest a rule that NO ONE is allowed to mentioned linked data unless in the same breath they can show how it helps people on the ground. then we avoid lots of confusing techno babble with no apparent purpose?
