FAQ

If you have any questions that others might be interested in hearing the answer to, please let us know via email, slack or twitter and we’ll do our best to update this page promptly.

Is there a dress code?

There is no dress code, you will get an event t-shirt on the day but otherwise, whatever you are comfortable in.

How does pitching work?

The only rule about pitching is your pitch must last less than 30 seconds (the shorter the better, generally speaking).

Good pitches tend to be very short and contain 1 clear question or issue.

A guide to pitching can be found at this link. The video at this link and reading some previous pitches/session notes that can be found at this link might help explain more.

Can I bring a powerpoint?

You are welcome to bring slides to show if you successfully pitch a session, however we cannot guarantee access or IT support for screens/projectors so anything you’d like to show would have to be on your own laptop.

Can I bring other marketing materials to give out?

Platinum level sponsors will be provided with a table and there will be a communal table to share stickers. We would like to keep swag to a minimum though.

How much space can I have for my stand?

  • Gold: 1 pull up stand
  • Platinum: 2 pull up stands and a table

(We are a little more limited on space than in previous years, due to having the opener and closer upstairs for better ventilation)

Will there be an attendee list?

We do not share attendee data – we will have a twitter list and those who wish to can leave their twitter ids on session notes but nothing is mandatory.

Is there parking near the venue?

Free parking is available on Tothill Street on weekends.
